Eligibility
- Short-term Research Scholarship Guideline
- Current postgraduate students and final/ third-year undergraduate students from Specific Partner Institutions.
- All applicants must first identify and contact a full-time professor at NYCU to be their research supervisor.
- List of NYCU professors willing to host short-term research students.
- Please email the application documents as a single file by the deadline of each round (Incomplete or late applications will not be considered).
- Scholarship Amount
- A maximum of NTD 27,500 (pre-tax) is available, with funding offered for up to two months.
- The scholarship is only offered when the student completes at least 60 days of research and hands in the required documents.
- The student is required to submit a short report regarding their research before leaving NYCU.

- *The table of schedules provides approximate timings; the NYCU Committee will determine the exact application deadline. The application deadline will be announced at the start of each round.
- Required Documents
- Curriculum vitae (CV) in English
- Research proposal (no more than one page)
- Official transcript of academic records in English or Chinese.
- Invitation letter from a NYCU supervisor\ (It should be formal with the professor's signature, department seal, and contact information.)
- Latest enrollment letter from your home institution\ (Please make sure the time covers your duration of stay in NYCU)
- Copy of a valid Passport (with at least 6 months of validity remaining)
- Application Instruction\ Please submit the student profile online and email the required documents.
- Admissions\ The submitted documents will be reviewed during the NYCU internal meeting. Please note that the approval process will take at least one to one and a half months.
- Other Information\ A "Welcome Package" will be provided via email to admitted students, which includes registration information, arrival details, and a dormitory application.
