Overview
This diploma provides you with a sequence of IT study and a range of data manipulation and presentation techniques.
Course structure
The Diploma in Computing requires a total of 100 points of specified study, of which up to 50 points can be cross-credited from the student’s Bachelor’s degree to their Diploma (or from the Diploma to the Bachelor’s degree). To graduate with an undergraduate degree and the Diploma, students must complete between 350 and 400 points across both programs.
Compulsory subjects
To be awarded the Diploma in Computing you must complete:
- Two compulsory subjects
- COMP10001 Foundations of Computing
- and one of SWEN30006 Software Modelling and Design OR INFO30005 Advanced Interface Prototyping
- Four electives from level one, two or three. Some of these elective subjects will be prerequisites for the compulsory subjects
- Two level three electives.
