ASEA-UNINET

The ASEA-European Academic University Network (ASEA-UNINET) is a network supported by Austria which initiates and promotes research collaborations with universities in South-East Asian countries.

Through ASEA-UNINET, visits abroad by scientists and prae-docs are funded within approved research projects. The network provides opportunities to implement transnational projects.

Project submissions

Funding from ASEA-UNINET makes it possible to undertake joint projects and project initiations with one of the partner universities in South-East Asia, to undertake education and training in a specific field of work, to give blocks of lectures as a sort of short-term guest lecturer and to finance training courses, workshops and excursions.

Submission deadline: April 23, 2026 (deadline 12.00 p.m. CEST)
Project implementation period: October 1,2026 to September 30, 2027 or September 30, 2028
Minimum funding amount: EUR 5,000
Project applications must be submitted via the OeAD web portal.
