Entry Phase

In the entry phase the research project is strenghend and then finalised. Usually this is a time, where an intensive exchange between doctoral candidate and supervisor takes place. The public presentation of the research project is the first milestone in the doctoral process. The presentation is the basis for approval of the topic and the precondition for the Doctoral Thesis Agreement.

The duration of the entry phase depends on the stage of development of the research project. Ideally doctoral candidates already have had some thoughts on their topic of choice and have been in contact with their supervisor before they apply for admission.
