# Collective Bargaining Agreement and Salary

**The Collective Bargaining Agreement for University Staff** [(2024, PDF)](https://www.univie.ac.at/fileadmin/user_upload/univie/dokumente/Kollektivvertrag/2024_Uni-Kollektivvertrag.pdf) regulates key labour law conditions such as working hours and salary and is updated on a regular basis. The currently applicable salary scheme is available on this page. On the website of [uniko - the National University Federation](https://uniko.ac.at/organisation/dachverband/kollektivvertrag/), you can find an overview of the collective agreement versions and the amendments made over time.

Please note that the original texts are in German. An English translation of the Collective Agreement [(2023, PDF)](https://www.univie.ac.at/fileadmin/user_upload/univie/dokumente/Kollektivvertrag/2023_EN_Uni-Kollektivvertrag.pdf) is provided for reference, but the German version prevails in case of any discrepancies.

## 2026-2027 Wage Agreement - Key Figures

- Current salaries **from 1 January 2026:** **+1.65%**, at least **€60**
- Current salaries **from 1 January 2027:** **+1.3%,** at least **€60**
- Apprentice remuneration (§ 56 KV): **+€60** per year
- Part-time employees: pro-rata calculation

- **Salary group B 2 Lecturers § 49 (4) KV:**
  - Basic amount € 290,76,
  - after 3 years € 344,68,
  - after 8 years € 386,10.
- **Salary group C Student (Project) Staff § 49 (5) KV:** for a workload of 20 hours per week, they receive half of the salary amount of Job Group IIIa (General University Staff); for a lower number of working hours, the amount is paid on a pro rata basis.
