You are interested in Africa? During your studies, you will get to know the dynamic and diverse continent and its societies beyond the clichés prevalent in Europe. Thinking outside the box and looking beyond your own horizons allows you to critically analyse Africa in a global context and thus better understand its less known aspects.

With us you will learn African languages and deal with languages and literatures, history and societies of Africa. Interdisciplinary approaches in the individual courses invite you to work in a topic-centered way and to choose your own area of interest.
