Founded in 1989, Peking University is one of the most significant research universitiesin Chinaand a member of the Chinese C9 League. The university has a long tradition and is involved in networks with top universities at international level. With its 50 schools and 200 research institutes, Peking University offers awide range of disciplines.
In recent years, numerous research collaborations with the University of Vienna have been initiated in the fields of the natural sciences and philosophy in particular, and these are being extended as part of the strategic partnership that was established in 2019.
At present, students, researchers, teaching staff and the general staff of both universities have the opportunity to participate in mobility programmes or to undertake bilateral research projects as a result of the strategic partnership:
