Research at the Faculty of Humanities at Stockholm University is both broad and cutting-edge.
Education
Humanities is a broad field of knowledge that studies the human being and human culture. The development from prehistoric times to the present, texts and objects that convey thoughts and ideas from other times and other cultures, modern media that consciously or unconsciously influence us - all this and much more is addressed in the humanities.
Research
The Faculty of Humanities conducts high-quality research in many different disciplines and interdisciplinary research fields.
About the faculty
The Faculty of Humanities at Stockholm University is one of the largest faculties in Sweden. It conducts research and education in what is often described as the "three pillars" of the humanities – culture, aesthetics and language.
