The course prepares the student for academic work at a university or in public and private sectors. It also aims to use the student's speaking and writing skills, especially for participation in seminars and conferences related to Korea.
The student will improve the ability to use academic Korean for compiling research results as well as presentations and discussions. The course trains the student to communicate in speech as well as writing for scientific work or other professional activities by using Korean source materials.

Teaching Format
The teaching consists of lectures and seminars.
Attendance is mandatory.

Assessment
The course is examined through 2-3 written assignments, an oral presentation and discussion of an academic publication during a seminar.

Bachelor's Degree in Asian Languages and cultures, or the equivalent, including a thesis of 15 ECTS credits in Korean. Swedish upper secondary school course English 6 or equivalent.
