# Advice in the event of an attack

The risk of Stockholm University being subjected to an attack is very low. Here you will find guidance on how to act should one nevertheless occur.

## If an attack were to occur

### 1. Run

Get yourself to safety. Leave the area as quickly and safely as possible and avoid crowds.

### 2. Hide

If you cannot leave the area, find a place that you judge to be safe and that offers protection. Stay alert to what you see and hear, and try to remain calm.\

Set your mobile phone to silent and turn off vibration. Do not call anyone who may be in the risk area – a mobile signal could reveal someone who is hiding.\

### 3. Tell – call 112

When you are safe, call 112 and alert the police.

The police will need information about:

- the location
- what has happened
- how many perpetrators you have seen
- what weapons they have used
- what they look like and where you last saw them.

Warn people who are in danger and help those who need assistance.
