Welcome to the Department of Physics!
Our research is leading nationally and has high international status. We offer undergraduate and advanced level programs where you will be part of small student groups. Our researchers will be your teachers. After graduating with a degree in physics, you will have broad expertise and will be ready for employment. You can work as a medical physicist, quantum analyst, cryptologist, risk analyst, statistician or software developer, and in a variety of other professions.

The Department of Physics offers bachelor's degree programs in physics and four master's programs. We also offer individual courses, evening courses, and distance learning courses.

At Fysikum, we conduct research in projects involving theoretical and experimental physics within seven different subject areas of physics. We collaborate with various departments and other universities.
Cooperation and Collaboration
Fysikum organizes events for schools and the general public, such as the Physics Competition and Physics Show, and we participate in Research Friday.
