The aim of the course is to further the student's Japanese language skills within an academic context, on an advanced level.
The course aims to train the student in written skills and to idenpendently read, understand and summarize Japanese scientific texts.
Course structure
The focus is on the analysis of language use from a cognitive linguistic perspective. The course aims to train the ability to understand the interaction between syntax and semantics, language and thought which are applied in the learning process of the Japanese language.
Teaching Format
The instruction consists of seminars. Attendance at all instruction is obligatory. The instruction is given in Japanese.

Assessment
The course is examined on the basis of two written assignments.
