Our faculty

The faculty consists of eighteen departments and institutes and around ten centres. Social sciences is a broad field of knowledge that focuses on people and society – studying social science suits you who want to understand the world. The capital region has strong links to research and the business sector, which provides excellent opportunities for collaboration. At the Faculty of Social Sciences, advanced and high-quality research is conducted in established as well as interdisciplinary fields. Within social science disciplines, there are strong links to current societal and political challenges, which generate key research questions.
