Advanced Chinese I

The course trains the students to independently read and translate ordinary prose and scientific texts to and from Chinese as well as present the translations both orally and in written form in English and Chinese.

After the course the student is expected to be able to independently read and translate ordinary prose and scientific texts to and from Chinese.

The course consists of one module.

Assessment

The course is examined through a written assignment, an oral presentation and a longer translation assignment during the course.

Bachelor's Degree in Asian Cultures and Languages or equivalent, including a Bachelor's thesis of 15 Higher Education Credits with a specialization in the field of Chinese language and culture. Swedish upper secondary school course English 6.
