Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity+ Office

At the DEI+ Office, we aim to foster a truly inclusive UM community by embracing diversity and encouraging all members to take an active role in creating positive change. This page offers educational resources to support our community members in building a more equitable and inclusive environment.

If you have well-balanced and useful resources to share, please send them to us at diversity@maastrichtuniversity.nl

"We are a group of people who love, talk, move, learn, work and think in a variety of ways."

Inclusive language

Our world is always evolving, and so are languages and language use. With new knowledge and inclusion of marginalised groups, our language use adapts. UM embraces language use that addresses everyone in general communication and that addresses individuals in a way that makes them feel seen and respected.
