Below you can find the UM SPORTS membership rates of the new academic year 2025-2026.
Some groups are entitled to a discount. In the overviews below you can find out which discount category you fit into.
Category 1: UM students\ Category 2: UM employees and PhD students\ Category 3: UM alumni, partners of UM employees who are members and their child(ren) aged 16-22 years old, SenUM members, students Hogeschool Zuyd, MBO Maastricht and other MBO/HBO/WO students and high school students (16+), external members of a student sports association and off-peak members (07:00 - 15:00h)\ Category 4: Other
Important information about our rates
- The table below shows the fees applicable from 1 September 2025 to 1 September 2026, for the academic year 2025-2026;
- For the 2025-2026 academic year, you can take out a monthly membership at any time;
- For the 2025-2026 academic year, you only can subscribe for a semester membership in the first semester (which runs until 31 January 2026);
- For the 2025-2026 academic year, you can take out an annual membership until 1 August 2026;
- All membership fees are collected monthly by direct debit;
- A monthly membership is cancellable monthly. A semester membership can be cancelled by 1 February 2026 (end of semester). An annual membership can be cancelled by 1 September 2026 (end of academic year);
- If you do not take action to renew your annual or semester membership, the membership form will automatically change to a (more expensive) monthly membership (with the exception of benVitaal members and ODS Vitaal members);
- Without a membership, you can also exercise at UM SPORTS: for €12.00 you can buy a day pass that allows you to participate in group lessons, play squash and/or exercise in the gym for a whole day. Important: please contact us in advance so that we can reserve a group lesson, a squash court, and/or a time slot for the gym for you;
- A monthly membership does not allow you to join a student sports club or get a discount at the Geusseltbad or Padel Plaza and it does not allow you to participate in courses;
- UM SPORTS collaborates with the 'Volwassenenfonds Sport & Cultuur' (Adult Fund for Sports & Culture). This fund pays the membership fees for adults living on the minimum subsistence level. For more information about this fund, click HERE.
