This course introduces PhD students to the field of international standardization and to management system standards, focusing on their key features and on their relevance for professional contexts and for the interface between research and the world of work. ISO 9001 is used as a key example to illustrate how quality management supports robust processes and helps understand expectations, practices, and constraints in professional environments.
