All degree programmes (without national-based selection)

Step-by-step procedure

1. Chooseyour degree programmes and carefully check its entry requirements. If you wish to apply for a degree programme with a limited number of places, please also check the relevant Call for applications, in order to be aware of the entry test required for admission:\ - if a TOLC test is required, strictly follow the registration instructions on the dedicated web page;\ - if an admission test (different from the TOLC) is required, it will have to be sat in Padua.

2. Prepare all required documents (in PDF format)

  1. Register on apply.unipd.it by clicking on “Become an applicant” and filling in the form

4. Use the applicant code you received by email to “Sign In” and complete your application. Make sure you have filled in all the fields required and uploaded all the necessary documents in PDF format before clicking on “Submit”. Please note that you can apply for up to 2 degree programmes. Do not register more than once by using different email addresses, otherwise your application will be rejected.

5. Pay the application fee (€ 60). The application fee is not refundable. You will receive a link for the payment by email. ONLY if you are applying for degree programme(s) requiring a specific TOLC test as per the degree programme entry requirement, do NOT proceed with the payment of the application fee but register for the required TOLC test and pay the 35 Euro registration fee on the CISIA website.

  1. If you applied for a degree programme with a limited number of places and you are an EU or a non-EU citizen residing in Italy, you must register on Uniweb following the instructions set forth by the relevant Call for applications

7. Waitfor the evaluation feedback. Please note that your application is checked by the Admissions and Welcome Unit first, and then eventually evaluated by a dedicated Academic Committee.\ - If you applied for a degree programme with an unlimited number of places, you will be notified of the evaluation via the application platform.\ - If you applied for a degree programme with a limited number of places, please check the admission results.

First call: November 2, 2025 - February 2, 2026

Second call: March 2 - May 2, 2026

Third call: (only for EU citizens and non-EU citizens residing in Italy) June 2 – August 2, 2026

Degree programmeswith alimited number of places

First call (only for non-EU citizens residing outside Italy): January 7 - March 7, 2025

Second and/or Third Call (only for EU citizens and non-EU citizens residing in Italy): Dates will be available in the relevant Call for applications

Required documents

When submitting your online application, please upload colour scanned copies (PDF format) of the following documents:

Bachelor's and Single-cycle degree programmes

If needed, the Admissions and Welcome Unit may request the Statement of Comparabilityof your upper secondary school diploma as issued by CIMEA (Italy’s Credential Information System) if further verification of the qualification is deemed necessary. The certification may be obtained directly (upon payment) through a MyDiplomeaccount.

If you are admitted to the degree programme, you will need to submit original and legalised copies of your previous qualifications. No legalised documents need to be submitted at application stage. But, an English or Italian translation of your entry qualification (i.e. transcript of records and upper secondary school certificate) has be uploaded.

Master's degree programmes

If needed, the Admissions and Welcome Unit  may request the Statement of Comparabilityof your Bachelor’s issued by CIMEA (Italy’s Credential Information System) if further verification of the qualification is deemed necessary. The certification may be obtained directly (upon payment) through a MyDiplome account.

NB: If you are admitted to a degree programme, you will have to submit original and legalised copies of your previous qualifications. No legalised documents need to be submitted at application stage, but an English or Italian translation of your entry qualification (i.e. transcript of records and Bachelor’s degree diploma) has to be provided.

Programmes (with national-based selection)

Available places and application process

For information about Italian-taught single-cycle degree programmes in Medicina e Chirurgia (Medicine and Surgery), Medicina Veterinaria (Veterinary Medicine) and Odontoiatria e Protesi Dentaria (Dentistry and Dental Prosthodontics), please see the dedicated section below.

The Single-cycle degree programme in Ingegneria Edile-Architettura; the Bachelor’s degree programmes in Professioni sanitarie (Health professions); the Single-cycle degree programme in Scienze della Formazione Primaria (Primary Teacher Education) and the Master’s degree programmes in Professioni sanitarie (Health professions) admit a limited number of students, who are selected at national level by Ministerial Decree. The number of places available, the date of the admission test, the content and the procedures for selection are set forth annually by Ministerial Decree and included in the relevant Call for applications. To apply to these degree programmes:

  1. Choose one or more degree programmes.
  2. Check entry requirements and register for the admission test as per the instructions and deadlines set forth by the relevant Calls for applications.
  3. Pay the fee required for the admission testas indicated in the relevant Calls for applications. The fee is not refundable and has to be paid for each degree programme you apply for.
  4. Print out the application summary (no confirmation email will be sent). Therefore, the application summary print-out constitutes proof of application.
  5. Non-EU citizens residing outside Italy must also pre-enrol online at the Italian Embassy/Consulate in their country of residence through the Universitaly portal . Please check the video tutorial on how to fill in the pre-enrolment form. Students must also prove a B2 level in Italian through a certificate or an online language test.
  6. Sit the admission test, and wait for the results to be published.
  7. If suitably placed in the ranking, follow the steps to secure your place and pay the admission fee (i.e. first instalment) as per the instructions set forth by the relevant Calls for applications.
  8. Submit the documents requiredto check the validity of yourforeign entry qualification as per the instructions and deadline that will be sent via email to all selected candidates by the Global Engagement Office - Admissions and Welcome Unit.
  9. Finalise the enrolment by following the instructions provided by the Global Engagement Office - Admissions and Welcome Unit (see section How to enrol).

Medicina e Chirurgia , Medicina Veterinaria, Odontoiatria e Protesi Dentaria - How to register for the Open Semester

In order to register for the Open Semester for the Medicina e Chirurgia, Medicina Veterinaria e Odontoiatria e Protesi Dentaria single-cycle degree programmes (Italian-taught), please follow the procedure indicated at the following link: https://www.unipd.it/ammissioni-medicina-odontoiatria.

As far as students holding a foreign qualification are concerned, once they have completed the registration process, they will be contacted by the Admissions and Welcome Unit - Global Engagement Office for their entry documentation to be assessed. Students must obtain their entry qualification and upload it on their Uniweb personal area by 31 July 2025.\ Registration for the Open Semester and the related degree programme will be subject to:

Non-European citizens residing outside Italy

Citizens of a country outside the European Union, Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway, Switzerland or San Marino ANDwho do not have a double nationality, including Italian or any European nationality, ANDwho cannot be considered as non-EU citizens residing in Italy (see above).
