The European Commission offers online linguistic support (OLS) on the EU Academy platform for students with an Erasmus+ mobility grant.\ The OLS includes a placement test at the beginning of the stay and optional courses before and during the stay.

The University of Padova offers many opportunities to gain a working knowledge of a foreign language or to build on existing skills.

The University Language Centre - Cla provides language courses (English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese) for regular students, LLP-Erasmus students, professors, administrative staff.

Unipd also provides courses with the aid of the Confucius Institute of Padua and facilitates interlingual and intercultural dialogue thanks to the Arqus university alliance, organiser of the Arqus Cafè, virtual and casual meetings dedicated to students, which Unipd is part of.

Centro Linguistico di Ateneo CLA, the University Language Centre

The CLA - Centro Linguistico di Ateneo provides language courses (English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese) for regular students, LLP-Erasmus students, professors, administrative staff.

The University Language Centre is involved in the dissemination of knowledge of modern languages taught at the University and of Italian as a foreign language; it’s open also to external users.

The Centre organises courses, subsidiary didactic activities, paths for self-learning and linguistic knowledge tests of various types and levels. It guides students, but also teachers and university staff, in learning and improving the knowledge of foreign languages.

Italian language courses

The CLA - Centro Linguistico di Ateneo promotes, organizes and offers Italian language courses for foreign students, researchers and professors. The courses cover levels pre-A1 to C2 of the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Conversation groups Conversazioni CreAttive

Conversazioni CreAttive are a series of conversation groups organised by the Alternative Civilian Service volunteers. During the group meetings, in which one or more native speakers are also present, students are given the opportunity to converse in a foreign language. The project aims to provide participants with a space for intercultural and language exchanges.\ Participation is free and is open to all University of Padua students and students on exchange programmes (Erasmus, Mundus, etc.).

Conversations are to be activated for: French, Russian, English and Italian for foreign students.
