Department of Philosophy, Sociology, Education and Applied Psychology
The Department brings together scholars from multiple fields with the aim of developing interdisciplinary analyses of human experience within social and cultural contexts. Key research topics include intercultural problems, the study of social, educational and psychological processes, the analysis of individual choices and practices, and the development of philosophical conceptions.
In recognising the importance of integrating different forms of knowledge, the Department values its disciplinary traditions and fosters both theoretical and empirical research, spanning from fundamental philosophical questions to psychological, social and educational concerns. It also coordinates a range of degree courses, PhD programmes, specialised courses, and master’s programmes.
