## CoARA: Towards an International Reform of Research Assessment

Since 2022, the **University of Padua** has been part of the [Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA)](https://coara.eu/), a consortium of organizations committed to reforming the methods and processes of research assessment, including how **researchers and research organisations are evaluated**. By joining CoARA, the university has committed to promoting the 10 commitments of the Agreement on Reforming Research Assessment (ARRA) through a multi-year action plan and involvement in international Working Groups.

CoARA represents an important step **towards fairer and more innovative research assessment,** with potentially significant impacts on the **future of academic research**.
