Department of Geosciences
The Department covers a wide range of disciplines in basic and applied geosciences (palaeontology and palaeoclimatology, sedimentology and stratigraphy, structure and tectonics, physical geography and geomorphology, applied geology, mineralogy, petrology, geophysics).
The mission of the Department is to increase knowledge of the Earth and to prepare students at all levels to succeed in industry, government, business and academe.
