## Blended Learning

**What is Blended Learning?**
**Blended learning** integrates face-to-face teaching with online teaching. Its aim is to make the teaching and learning experience more flexible, efficient and effective by using the best of both methodologies.
**Online lessons** can consist of **synchronous activities** (teacher and class meet to conduct the lesson in a virtual environment) or **asynchronous activities** (given a delivery, the class works individually or in groups, in complete autonomy and at a different time from the standard class schedule).
The in**-presence part**, previously designed in integration with the online part, should be **enhanced with active teaching methods** that favour discussion, interaction between teachers/students and students/students and useful to connect with the online activity part. The active **involve**ment of students, both in presence and online, is the most relevant factor to be considered in order to foster autonomy and participation in learning.
