Experimental Farm

The "Lucio Toniolo" experimental farm was set up in 1960 and currently occupies an area of 68 hectares. Its management is entrusted to a board of eight members (the Delegation), including a representative of the Rector, whilst the director is appointed by written order of the Rector.\ Also located near the farm are the premises of the National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN), the Agripolis complex and the Istituto zooprofilattico delle Venezie, a public veterinary institute. The activities of the farm include teaching, experimental work and crop cultivation. There are also areas dedicated to the collection of different types of plants. The farm is equipped with greenhouses, stalls and an agrometereological station used on a daily basis for logging data, plus machinery including tractors and seeders. Other activities include the maintenance of green assets around the Agripolis complex and the entire campus.
