The University of Padua promotes education and research in the field of gender equality and the fight against discrimination thanks to the Elena Cornaro University Centre for gender studies and policies. The Centre offers the academic community learning opportunities through activities based on equal opportunities, gender equality and gender-related research.

Elena Cornaro University Center for knowledge, culture, and gender policies\ The 'Elena Cornaro' University Center for gender knowledge, culture, and policies began in 2019. The center aims to spread awareness on gender issues within the University and in society by promoting and strengthening research and educational gender perspectives. The center considers gender-related issues as through a methodological-scientific approach that cuts across political-social and humanistic studies, science, technology, and medicine. Among its activities, the center pursues its institutional goals thanks to external collaborations with public, private, national, and international institutions. In collaboration with the Vice-Rector for cultural, social and gender relations, and the Single Guarantee Committee, the center works to identify and share respective knowledge, skills, solutions, and tools suitable for achieving the satisfaction of aspirations and careers within the University by removing obstacles and conditions that may arise and which affect the well-being of the members of the academic community.
