ACADEMIC YEAR 2024-25
Academic Year Start: Tuesday October 1, 2024
Start of Teaching Activities: Monday, September 30, 2024
For organizational and teaching effectiveness reasons, the relevant Teaching Structures may:
- Anticipate the start of teaching activities to Monday, September 23, 2024, with notice given on their website by August 27, 2024.
- Postpone the start of teaching activities, with notice given on their website by Monday, September 16, 2024.
Suspension of Teaching Activities:
- All Saints' Day: Friday, November 1, 2024
- Christmas Holidays: from Saturday, December 21, 2024 to Monday, January 6, 2025
- Easter Holidays: from Friday, April 18, 2025 to Tuesday, April 22, 2025
- Liberation Day: Friday, April 25, 2025
- Labour Day: Thursday, May 1, 2025
- Giustinianea Celebration: Friday, May 2, 2025
- Italian Republic Day: Monday, June 2, 2025
- Summer Holidays: from Monday, August 4, 2025 to Saturday, August 16, 2025
- Feast of the Patron Saint in the provincial capitals where teaching activities are held
- Patron Saint of Padua: Friday, June 13, 2025
LECTURES AND EXAM SESSIONS
Trimesters and semesters
Classes are organised either in semesters or in trimesters, depending on regulations that applies to the specific class. Every single class can begin/end in different dates within common intervals\ These are the common scheduled dates:
Trimester system\ First trimester:\ Classes: 30 September 2024 to 30 November 2024\ Winter exam session: 2 December 2024 to 21 December 2024
Second trimester:\ Classes: 7 January 2025 to 15 March 2025\ Spring exam session: 17 March 2025 to 5 April 2025
Third trimester:\ Classes: 7 April 2025 to 14 June 2025\ Summer exam session: 16 June 2025 to 19 July 2025
Extra exam session: 18 August 2025 to 20 September 2025\ Exam session reserved to students who will graduate by 13 December 2025: 1 October - 22 November 2025
Semester system\ First semester:\ Classes: 30September 2024 to 18 January 2025\ Winter exam session: 20 January 2025 to 22 February 2025
Second semester\ Classes: 24 February 2025 to 14 June 2025\ Summer exam session: 16 June 2025 to 19 July 2025
Extra exam session: 18 August 2025 to 20 September 2025\ Exam session reserved to students who will graduate by 13 December 2025: 1 October - 22 November 2025
