Through a combination of theory, case studies and project-based learning taught by the Schools of Modern Languages and Computer Science, you will acquire the research skills and computational methods necessary to study and curate human culture and explore the capabilities, limitations and risks of digital technologies, including AI, and their impact on the arts and industry.

School of Modern Languages

The School offers a truly global approach with specialists across eight languages – Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Persian, Russian and Spanish – as well as Comparative Literature.

Expertise spans from the Middle Ages to the present day and includes prose, poetry, theatre, film, history, translation, and material culture.

School of Computer Science

The School of Computer Science is a centre of excellence for teaching and research. Globally recognised, the School’s research focuses on the core themes of theoretical and practical computer science. Alumni of the School have gone on to find employment in global technology companies including Amazon, Google and Microsoft.
