At St Andrews we explore the shape of religious belief and practice in our society. Studies focus primarily on Christian faith practices and consider the profound influence that the Jewish and Christian scriptures have had on Western civilisation. Our courses address both the significance of faith today and challenges to it.
Divinity at St Andrews is open to those with different goals in mind: some may be looking to expand their worldview and scholarly knowledge, while others are looking to expand their own faith commitments or to be ordained.

The School of Divinity has been dedicated to the study of divinity since 1579. It is committed to the historical integrity of the classical disciplines of divinity, and to the technical, historical, and linguistic competencies that support them.
