##### Foundation Certificate

##### International Year One

The [International Year One (IYO)](https://www.kaplanpathways.com/where-to-study/university-of-york-international-pathway-college/courses/international-year-one/) is a type of foundation pathway where you simultaneously complete the foundation year content and the main content from the first year of your degree programme.

Unlike other foundation programmes, upon completion of the IYO, you will join the second year of your main programme.

### Postgraduate courses

You can apply online for **taught postgraduate courses** (MA, MSc, MPA, MRes, PG Diploma, PG Certificate and LLM) and **research degrees** (MPhil, PhD and MA/MSc by research). In most cases applications can be submitted throughout the year, however we recommend that you apply as early as possible due to competition for places.
