Whether you're arriving by train, car, or plane, reaching the University of York is easy. We’re well-connected with excellent rail links, direct access to major road networks, and quick connections to international airports.

**How do you travel to, from and around campus? Are there improvements that could be made? \**The [Annual Travel and Transport Survey](https://york-travelsurvey.co.uk/) is now live. Please complete it by midnight on 20 March, and you will be given the option to be entered into a prize draw to win an iPad.

When you get here, there are plenty of ways to get around campus sustainably - whether it’s walking, cycling, or hopping on one of the 100% electric buses.

> - We encourage you to cycle where possible and bring a bike to campus
> - We have over 5,000 cycle parking spaces, and dedicated cycle routes
> - The [First York App](https://www.firstbus.co.uk/buy-tickets/ways-pay/first-bus-app) gives you real-time updates on all-electric bus availability and seat occupancy
> - It's a short walk between Campus East and West
> - It's just a 15-minute bike ride or 30-minute walk from Campus West to the city centre.

## About our campus

York is a campus university renowned for its beautiful green spaces. The campus offers an abundance of wildlife, hundreds of works of art, sports facilities and plenty of places to eat, drink and shop.

## Getting here

Our main campus is in the south east of York within walking and cycling distance of, or a short bus ride from, the city centre.

Our address is: University of York, York, **YO10 5DD**. If you’re travelling to Campus East, use the postcode **YO10 5GY** and for King's Manor use **YO1 7EP**.

Parking is limited, so we suggest alternative transport where possible. Once you’re here, it's easy to get around campus by bus, bike and foot.

Cycling and walking

Campus is best travelled by foot or bike, with ample paths and cycle racks available next to all building entrances.
