Profile
Biography
I am a Lecturer in Education and Social Justice with the Department of Education. I hold a PhD in education from the Bayreuth International Graduate School of African Studies (BIGSAS), University of Bayreuth, Germany. From a social justice and inclusion perspective, my doctoral project explored marginalised minorities and education in Ghana. My first and second degrees are in Political Science from the University of Ghana.
I was a recipient of the Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) Research fellowship at the University of Edinburgh in 2020/2021. I worked as a subject specialist for the Global Education Monitoring Report in 2018 where I was commissioned to write a background paper for the 2019 Global Education Monitoring Report, "Migration, displacement and education: Building bridges, not walls".

Research
Overview
My research interests are in development and education, with specific emphasis on the intersection of migration and education. My work focuses on migrant identities and integration in Africa, schooling and inclusion in Ghana and multiculturalism and education in postcolonial countries in the Global South.
