York Lions

Student-athletes at York have been competing against rival institutions on the Canadian sport scene for over 40 years. Since the inception of organized interuniversity competition in 1965, York has won 166 provincial banners and 30 national titles. Currently, more than 400 student-athletes compete on 19 different teams in 11 sports.

Atkinson Centre for Mature and Part-time Students (ACMAPS)

The Atkinson Centre was established to provide a home for mature and part-time students. We are committed to supporting the success of mature students from their time of admission through to their graduation.

Centre for Indigenous Student Services (CISS)

CISS offers culturally appropriate support services to a diverse Indigenous student population at York. The main office, located at 246 York Lanes, and the second location Skennen’kó:wa Gamig, “the House of Great Peace,” are welcoming, safe and supportive spaces.

York University is committed to providing support for graduate students with current or expecting familial responsibilities through a number of childcare options.

The York University Cooperative Daycare Centre

The non-profit, cooperative organization has served the York University community for thirty years. The Daycare Centre is committed to providing a caring, educational and multicultural environment to 119 children of parents who are members of York University.

Lee Wiggins Childcare Centre

LWCC is a not-for-profit organization, offering a holistic approach to early childhood development in a safe, positive and inclusive environment with a 5:1 Staff personnel to children ratio.
