# Partnerships, studentships and internships
These placements have been set up to bridge the gap between academia and institutions operating in the heritage sector and provide unique opportunities to increase students’ practical understanding of museum work and what curating an exhibition entails.
As a result of our collaborative links with numerous local museums and galleries, we're proud to offer an exciting range of studentships and internships to our students.
Competitions are usually held in May or October, so check back for new and reopening opportunities when they appear.

### [WRoCAH funding](https://www.york.ac.uk/study/postgraduate-research/funding/wrocah/)
The White Rose College of the Arts & Humanities (WRoCAH) is a Doctoral Training Partnership of the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York. The College is responsible for the distribution of AHRC-funded doctoral studentships for these universities.

### [Arts Scholars MA Awards from WCAS studentship](https://www.york.ac.uk/history-of-art/study/partnerships/worshipful-company-scholars/)
The Arts Scholars MA Award will provide three successful applicants with a partial fee waiver of £5,000 and potential mentoring opportunities.

This studentship will provide the successful applicant with an opportunity to undertake a placement with York Minster, one of the world’s most magnificent cathedrals.

Work with a recently acquired collection of 20th-century stained glass cartoons at the Stained Glass Museum, in Ely Cathedral.

### [Minster Monuments Audit Church of England, Diocese of Leeds](https://www.york.ac.uk/history-of-art/study/partnerships/minster-monuments-audit/)
A unique NLHF-funded placement opportunity to gain hands-on research and conservation experience by working closely with the nationally significant sculptural monument collections of Leeds Minster and Halifax Minster in the Anglican Diocese of Leeds.
