# Centre for Hyperpolarisation in Magnetic Resonance

The Centre for Hyperpolarisation in Magnetic Resonance (CHyM) is a joint research centre created by the [Department of Chemistry](https://www.york.ac.uk/chemistry/) and the [Department of Psychology](https://www.york.ac.uk/psychology/) at the University of York. CHyM is associated with the[Hull York Medical School](http://www.hyms.ac.uk/ "Hull York Medical School"), the [York Neuroimaging Centre](https://www.ynic.york.ac.uk/) and the [Department of Biology](https://www.york.ac.uk/biology/).

Research within CHyM focuses on the development and application of hyperpolarisation techniques for use in NMR and MRI.
