Students from most departments can seek support in securing a placement by booking an appointment with the central Placements Team in Careers and Placements; [book an appointment via Handshake](https://york.joinhandshake.co.uk/) (select Placement Year/Year in Industry Advice in the appointment types). However, **first please check the information below,** as your point of contact and the name of your appointment may differ depending on the department that you are in.
