**Welcome to Derwent College!**

One of York’s founding colleges, we’re named after the River Derwent and are home to around 600 residents and 2,200 student members who are all “*Derwent ‘til they die*”!

We’re also one of the most beautifully situated colleges at the University, surrounded by wide open lawns, a picturesque lake and plenty of wonderful waterfowl.

Once home to York's most famous campus resident, [Long Boi](https://www.instagram.com/longboiyork/), our community of ducks, geese, swans and moorhens always welcome a visit (and birdseed) from a friend.

## Derwent Student Committee
