Master of Disaster & Emergency Management (MDEM), Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)

York University offers leading graduate programs in Disaster & Emergency Management. Its Masters degree (MDEM) is the only such program offered in Ontario, and one of just two in Canada. It’s newly established PhD in Disaster & Emergency Management is the first such program in the entire country. In this exciting and rapidly expanding field you will explore key concepts, methodologies and technologies used by emergency management professionals while honing your analytical, research and critical thinking skills. Both the Master's and Doctoral program are offered on a full-time or part-time basis, and prepare you to synthesize large amounts of complex information and make sound decisions in challenging and often difficult circumstances.
