We are keen to work with external partners to develop mutually-beneficial relationships. Projects can vary from short-term consultancy to long-term staff exchange partnerships; co-creation of research to joint applications for government research funding.

## Funding collaborative research

The University has a strong tradition of collaborative research and knowledge exchange, orientated around employing our research excellence to solve industrially relevant problems.

This work takes place through commercial partnerships and via a range of funding opportunities including those from Government, Third Sector and EU agencies. These also include University internal [UKRI Impact Accelerator Accounts](https://www.ukri.org/what-we-offer/browse-our-areas-of-investment-and-support/ukri-impact-acceleration-accounts/) and Research Priming Funds among others.

By working together with a University academic team, we can help partners identify and develop solutions to pressing problems.
