Degree: Law LLB (2025)

**Did you undertake coaching in your final year or after graduation?**

Final Year

**Where were you in relation to your career planning/making applications before you applied for career coaching?**

- I had a clear understanding that I did not want to work in the field of my degree and had started exploring options I could go into after graduation.
- I had a specific field in mind (marketing), I applied to graduate schemes that were confused more on the creative side but had no luck after the application process.

**What did career coaching involve, and how did it help you?**

- It involved specific talks about the field I wanted to go into, and if it was right for me.
- How I could improve my interview question answers at the first stage of application, so my CV and skills stand out from others in the later process.
- My coach helped me to get a better understanding of the marketing field by looking at the graduate’s website and seeing the processes of others in the same field and how they got to their current position.
- We created a log of information, which included the information we had jointly understood I needed to take on board to improve.

**Where are you in relation to your career planning/making applications now?**

I have found a Job within the marketing sphere

**Would you recommend careers coaching to other students and graduates? If yes, why?**

Yes, it was a good experience, and I was able to explain my fears and worries about the working world in a safe and understanding environment. My coach made me feel comfortable and asked about my university life as well.
