Mounting pressure on budgets worldwide has focused attention on how best to organise healthcare systems and the spending within them. Develop a greater understanding of health economics and gain a qualification while continuing your career.

Why study health economics with York?

Our flexible distance learning programmes are a collaboration between the Department of Economics and Related Studies and the York Health Economics Consortium. We offer two programmes of study, helping to provide you with the skills and confidence to apply the principles of health economics in your career.

Our PG Diploma programme is based on six 12-week modules with assessments, whilst the MSc programme is based on three 12-week modules and assessments. Both programmes offer flexibility to enable you to work around your professional and personal commitments.

Modules and materials are designed and delivered by expert health economists at the University of York, who are leaders in their field of research and published work.
