# Education Policy, Quality and Standards

 

Education Policy, Quality and Standards provides an expert advisory service for the University and its stakeholders, facilitating the provision of outstanding quality learning experiences, leading to awards which meet sector recognised standards, through the development of innovative education polices and processes.

The EPQS Service acts as the custodian of the University’s [Teaching Quality Assurance Manual](https://www.exeter.ac.uk/about/governance/tqa/ "Teaching Quality Assurance Manual") and manages the work of key education governance bodies, most notably the Education Board. It provides expert information, advice and guidance to the Faculties and Departments, other Professional Services, Academic Partners and Education Senior Leaders.

Areas of expertise within the Service include: interpretation and application of education policies and processes; quality review and enhancement of educational and postgraduate research provision; maintenance of the integrity and credibility of the University’s awards; quality assurance frameworks for Degree Apprenticeships; development and management of Academic Partnerships; and securing accreditation and reaccreditation with Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Bodies.
