## Entry requirements
The information below will allow you to check qualifications from your country or territory to see if they may be accepted for entry to the University of Exeter, and the equivalent grades required. Undergraduate entry requirements
### Undergraduate entry requirements for students from Kuwait
If you have already completed your A levels or the International Baccalaureate Diploma, you will be eligible for direct entry if you meet your chosen programme's entry requirements.
The General Secondary Education Certificate (Tawjihiya or Thanawiyah) is not sufficient for direct entry to our undergraduate programmes. If you hold this, you will be eligible to take a recognised Foundation programme, such as one of our [International Study Centre International Foundation courses](https://www.exeter.ac.uk/study/into/) at Exeter's Streatham Campus.

Postgraduate entry requirements
### Postgraduate entry requirements for students from Kuwait
#### Postgraduate Taught
For direct entry onto our Masters programmes you will be required to hold a relevant Bachelors degree with a grade equivalent to a UK Second-class Honours (2:1 or 2:2). Check individual Masters courses for exact entry requirements.
Grade equivalents are as follows:

| 3.0-3.5 | 2.1 |
| 2.5-2.9 | 2.2 |
#### Postgraduate Research
For entry onto postgraduate research programmes (including PhD) you will need to hold a relevant Masters degree, supported by a strong research proposal.

For September 2026, these merit-based scholarships are valued at:
- Undergraduate (Bachelors): £3,000 or £5,000 (recurring for each eligible year of study)
- Postgraduate Taught (Masters): £3000, £5,000 or £10,000.
