Thank you for your feedback!

For my placement year I worked at Taylor Hobson as a Purchasing Graduate, working in the supply chain department to improve their purchasing processes. I was able to work on key projects like improving ABC analysis, creating KPIs to measure vendor performance and a special project where we tried to reduce the cost of equipment in the Asian market.

Your placement year can be an opportunity to prove yourself to the company. While working for Taylor Hobson I’ve been offered a full-time job and will continue working there after I finish my course.

During my studies, what I have enjoyed the most is how the professors treat you like friends, answering your questions. I have also enjoyed the impressive hands-on experience we get in the practical lab sessions, where theory meets practice in simulated factory environments.

I loved the structure of my course; there was a great mix of engineering, business and project management modules to choose from meaning that I got to build both my technical and soft-skills; after all, great engineers need to be able to sell and communicate the innovative ideas they develop!
