Strategic Portfolio Partner (Business Engagement and Innovation)

Charlie Lane is the Business Manager to the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Business Engagement and Innovation, Stuart Brocklehurst.

Her role is to provide executive support across the Deputy Vice-Chancellor’s portfolio, which includes responsibility for leading the University’s Business Engagement Strategy and oversight of the University’s business engagement and innovation activities.

Charlie joined the University in January 2011 working within Research Services to support applications to EPSRC and major initiatives including Centres for Doctoral Training, she has been the Business Manager for Research and Impact for the last five years. Prior to joining the University, Charlie managed the Government’s Grants for Research and Development scheme for the South West region.

Charlie has a BA in Business Studies from the University of Greenwich.
