Coming to university can be both daunting and exciting, with lots of changes and new processes to navigate. Because of this, it can be helpful to talk to someone who has been through the process and can offer informal guidance.
Peer Support coordinate different ‘peer schemes’, where current Exeter students in their 2nd to final year of study (Mentors) support students in their 1st year of study (Mentees) with the transition to university.
This can be:
- **pastoral support** (e.g. tips on settling into university life)
- or **academic support** (e.g. peer-assisted study sessions on topics and modules for your course).
Schemes include the *Carer, Care Leaver and Estranged Student Peer Mentoring, Disabled Student Peer Mentoring,* and *Mature Student Peer Mentoring* schemes.
