CHI² leads and explores multidisciplinary research into health and care systems, and ways to improve them.

We are working on research to better understand, and solve, the practical challenges of health and social care systems.

Our research is about practically helping policy makers, managers and clinicians to identify changes that can help or resolve problems in healthcare systems. To improve current ways of doing things for everyone’s benefit – for patients, their carers, and for the staff that treat them.

The Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) was awarded ‘Outstanding’ by programme funder Innovate UK, matching the grading of their first Outstanding KTP.

Professor David Ellis was part of a research team examining causes and consequences of repeated missed medical appointments.

Prof Sir Chris Whitty visited Bath to meet health and wellbeing researchers and to learn more about the University’s ambitions in preventative health.
