Legacy giving
Pledge a legacy in your Will and become a part of our 1966 Society.
By leaving a gift of any size to the University of Bath in your Will, you’ll be having a positive impact on generations to come.

Dr Aki Salo has pledged a legacy to further research in our Department for Health:

Professor Richard Mawditt OBE (MSc Business Administration 1983; Hon LLD 2008) has pledged a legacy to the School of Management:
“It has been a privilege and pleasure to have been associated with the School of Management over the years in so many roles, and good fortune to all who sail in her for many successful years to come.”
From building a human-powered aircraft to compete in the Icarus Cup, to developing ways of reusing coffee grounds – six students from our Faculty of Engineering & Design were able to undertake projects, internships and development opportunities, that would otherwise have been unachievable without a legacy gift.
These opportunities were made possible by grants from the Arthur Clements Fund: established in 2019 by a generous gift of £250,000 from the estate of the late engineer Arthur Clements CBE (1926–2016).
Arthur was an entrepreneur who left school aged 14 and went on to become chairman of SSS Gears Limited. His children, Nicholas Clements and Caroline Egleston, chose the Faculty of Engineering & Design as the area where their father’s wishes to encourage the art of mechanical engineering and to support young engineers would be most fittingly fulfilled.
His legacy is invested in the University’s Endowment Fund and the annual income derived from this investment will be used to support and inspire students for generations to come.
