## OpenBook Publishers - Open Access Publishing Agreement

**Agreement duration** There is no need for an actual agreement with this publisher as their business model is fully open access.

**Summary** Open Book Publishers (OBP), is an open access academic press that publishes [peer-reviewed](https://www.openbookpublishers.com/information-for-new-authors/the-review-process) monographs, edited collections, textbooks, critical translations and more. They are a non-profit social enterprise based in the UK and run by academics. Open Book Publishers is a fully open access (OA) press that does not charge its authors a fee to publish open access (also known as a Book Processing Charge or BPC).

**Information for authors:** All books are freely available in open access formats (PDF, HTML and XML). They do not charge authors to publish and authors retain full copyright. UNSW corresponding authors must use their UNSW institutional email address (name@unsw.edu.au) to be eligible under this agreement. For response times between submission and acceptance you should check the specific publisher guidelines for accurate information.

**Eligible article types:** [Peer-reviewed](https://www.openbookpublishers.com/information-for-new-authors/the-review-process), [award-winning](https://www.openbookpublishers.com/publish-with-us/awards-and-prizes) monographs, edited collections, textbooks, critical translations and more.

**Sharing via repositories:**To comply with the [Open Access policy](https://www.unsw.edu.au/content/dam/pdfs/governance/policy/2022-01-policies/openaccesspolicy.pdf) the UNSW corresponding author will need to retain the rights to either the Published Version of Record or Author Accepted Manuscript, and deposit into UNSWorks using a CC BY licence.

**How to submit your article for open access publishing:**

1. The UNSW corresponding author should follow the usual article submission process via [Open Book Publisher Information for New Authors](https://www.openbookpublishers.com/publish-with-us/information-for-authors).
2. On acceptance of the article, the publisher will ask the corresponding author to complete a form (publishing agreement).
3. On acceptance of the manuscript, the payment system will allow UNSW corresponding authors to choose UNSW as their institution and remove the open access fee. Articles from authors at participating institutions will be published under a [CC BY](http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) licence.

**Corresponding authors should not use personal email addresses** (e.g. Hotmail, Gmail) **or email addresses affiliated with other organisations, research centres or institutes.** Otherwise they may be ineligible under the terms of this agreement.
