### What time do applications close?

All applications close at 11:55 pm on the advertised closing date.

### How long will the recruitment process take?

Approximately 2-3 weeks after the closing date, you will be contacted by the Talent Acquisition Consultant if you have been shortlisted for interview. Interviews are generally held within one month of the closing date. Generally, a decision is made shortly after the last interview is held, and an offer is made within the week. Offers are made subject to reference checks, verification of qualifications, and any relevant pre-employment checks.

### How will I know if  my application was  received?

You will receive an auto response from Recruitment when your application is submitted online.

### I would like to work at UNSW but  there isn’t a specific position currently being advertised that I want to apply for. What should I do?

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept speculative CVs. However, you can stay up to date with positions you are interested by signing up to our Job Alerts. Enter the criteria of the type of position you are looking for and your email address, and you will receive an email if a job is posted that matches your nominated criteria.

### I do not currently have working rights within Australia but would like to apply for a position. Can I still apply?

All employees working in Australia must either be permanent residents or have a valid working visa. The University may sponsor an applicant for a visa at its absolute discretion.

### Are referees contacted prior to interviews or after? Can I bring in my referee details with me to the interview?

Please ensure that referee details are included in your initial application. For some academic positions, written references are required prior to interview stage.
