  A collection of images that illustrate development through topics such as agriculture, education, environment, health, trade and more. Check each image for licensing.

  Free ( [do whatever you want](https://unsplash.com/license) ) high-resolution photos built by industry-leading photographers. The Unsplash image library hosts thousands of photos that have been collated into collections covering a wide variety of subject areas.
- [Creative Commons Search](https://search.creativecommons.org/)

  CC Search provides convenient access to search services from other organisations for resources labelled with CC licences. You must still verify that any resource found using the CC Search is legitimately licensed as CC.

- [The Metropolitan Museum of Art: Public Domain Images](http://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection)

  Explore the images of artworks the Museum believes to be in the public domain. Select the "Public Domain Artworks" filter in the left-hand column and look for the CC 0 icon under the image. - [VADS: The Visual Arts Data Service](https://www.vads.ac.uk/)

  Over 100,000 searchable images free for use in art education. Includes design archives such as the Design Council and London College of Fashion.

- [Open-i](https://openi.nlm.nih.gov/)

  A biomedical image search engine that searches images from PubMed Central articles as well as several special image collections. It allows for substantial search customization via filters (specialties, image type, license type, etc.)
- [History of Medicine](https://www.nlm.nih.gov/hmd/ihm/index.html)

  Images from the National Library of Medicine’s prints and photographs collection. Terms of use vary - see information under 'Copyright Statement' in the record for individual items for details.
